The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THAT which must come to pass [at last] comes to pass, 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 they will become like dust scattered around. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 on lavish couches 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 and continuous shade, 30 And water poured out 31 and abundant fruit, 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 Lovers, friends, 37 for the people of the right hand 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
