The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
