Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8
