The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
