The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
