Al-Infitaar

Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble scribes 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
