The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and by the promised Day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 while they sat around it, 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
