Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
All praises and thanks be to Allah, Who (Alone) created the heavens and the earth, and originated the darkness and the light, yet those who disbelieve hold others as equal with their Lord. 1 He it is Who created you from clay, then He decreed a term; and there is a term named with Him; still you doubt. 2 He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth. He knoweth both your secret and your utterance, and He knoweth what ye earn. 3 yet every time a sign comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it. 4 Indeed, they rejected the truth (the Quran and Muhammad SAW) when it came to them, but there will come to them the news of that (the torment) which they used to mock at. 5 Do they not consider how many a generation We have destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth as We have not established you, and We sent the clouds pouring rain on them in abundance, and We made the rivers to flow beneath them, then We destroyed them on account of their faults and raised up after them another generation. 6 (Muhammad), had We sent you a Book on paper, the unbelievers would have touched it with their hands but would still have said, "It is no more than plain sorcery". 7 They also say: 'Why has no angel been sent down to this Prophet?' Had We sent down an angel, the matter would surely have long been decided and no respite would have been granted them. 8 Even if We had sent down an angel as messenger he would have appeared in the garb of a man and filled them with confusion, like the one they are filled with. 9 And certainly apostles before you were mocked at, but that which they mocked at encompassed the scoffers among them. 10
