Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your mates? Nay, ye are a people transgressing (all limits)!" 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
