Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 By oath of the clear Qur’an. 2 We have made it an Arabic Koran in order that you understand. 3 And indeed it is, in the Mother of the Book with Us, exalted and full of wisdom. 4 So shall We divert the advice away from you, because you are a nation that exceeds the limits? 5 How many a Prophet We sent among the ancients, 6 but whenever a prophet came to them, they mocked him, 7 Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these, and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them). 8 Yet, if you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they will answer: 'The Almighty, the Knower created them' 9 Who has made the earth a cradle for you and made thereon paths for you so that, hopefully, you may find your way 10 And Who sendeth down from the heaven water in measure; then We quicken a dead land therewith: even so ye shall be brought forth. 11 He Who created all the pairs, and appointed for you ships and cattle whereupon ye ride. 12 so that you can sit upon their backs and then remember the Favors of your Lord and say: 'Exaltations to Him who has subjected these to us otherwise, we ourselves were not capable of it, 13 And verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return! 14 Yet they make some of His servants partners in His divinity. Man is clearly ungrateful! 15
