The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 And there can be no denying of its befalling. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 You will become three categories: 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 Companions of the Left, what are the Companions of the Left? 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 These will be those nearest to Allah. 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 only the words of peace and tranquillity. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 and clustered bananas, 29 And shade extended 30 near to flowing water 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
