The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
