The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 And say: "Ah woe! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
