The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
