And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
