۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 “Instead of Allah – and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 and detain them there; they will be called to account. 24 'Why do you not help one another? 25 Indeed, today they are surrendering themselves completely.” 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 But they reply: 'Rather, you were not believers. 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 and so we became deserving of the Word of our Lord that we shall be made to suffer chastisement. 31 “We therefore led you astray, for we ourselves were astray!” 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? 36 Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 A drink will be passed round among them from a flowing spring: 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for Allah's favour, I should be one of those who have been mustered here. 57 He will ask his companion, "Did you not say that there would only be one death 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 The fruit thereof is as though the hoods of the serpents. 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 And assuredly We sent among them warners. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 74
