And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
