It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun. 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 and My word shall not be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants." 29
