Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 labouring, weary, 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 Well-pleased with their endeavour, 9 In a Garden on high, 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 therein uplifted couches 13 And cups put in place 14 And cushions ranged 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And the sky: how it was raised high? 18 And the mountains – how they have been established? 19 And the earth: how it was spread out? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
