Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

Almighty God's Truth.
