T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, and said to his family, 'Tarry you here; I observe a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a brand from it, or I shall find at the fire guidance.' 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 Do not let anyone who does not believe in it and follows his own desires turn you away from it and so bring you to ruin." 16 And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
