The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). 5 We have indeed adorned the lowest heaven with stars as ornaments. 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
