The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man. 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 Always measure with justice and do not give short measure. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He has given freedom to the two great bodies of water, so that they might meet: 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
