Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 by the retreating night, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 it is a warning to man, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except the people of the right hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
