Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
