Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
