The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning hours 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
