And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138
