۞ And when the son of Mary is quoted as an example, behold! the folk laugh out, 57 And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people. 58 He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And if it were Our Will, We would have [destroyed you (mankind) all, and] made angels to replace you on the earth.
