Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
