And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 at the hands of Pharaoh: he was a tyrant who exceeded all bounds. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Yet these say: 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily the Day of Distinction is the term appointed for all of them. 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
