Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 Say: "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil promptings of the devils. 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 whereas they whose weight is light in the balance - it is they who will have squandered their own selves, [destined] to abide in hell: 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will say: "O Lord, our misery overwhelmed us, so we remained a people astray. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 God will ask them, "How many years did you live in your graves?" 112 They shall say, 'We have tarried a day, or part of a day; ask the numberers!' 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) say, “My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best of all the Merciful. 118
