The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 when Noah, their brother, said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 Noah said, "My Lord, my people have rejected me, 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
