The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
