We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 each word he utters shall be noted down by a vigilant guardian. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this, but now We have removed your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!" 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, 25 and an idol worshipper. Throw him into severe torment". 26 ۞ And his comrade shall say, 'Our Lord, I made him not insolent, but he was in far error.' 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
