Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the wind that scatters far and wide, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They slept very little during the night 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
