The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
