Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
