Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 [and thereupon was told:] "Strike [the ground] with thy foot: here is cool water to wash with and to drink!" 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with It and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 Lo! in Our sight they are verily of the elect, the excellent. 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 gardens of perpetual bliss, with gates wide-open to them, 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And with them shall be those restraining their eyes, equals in age. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 This: and verily for the exorbitant there shall be an evil retreat: 55 They will suffer in hell. What a terrible dwelling! 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Surely that is true the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire 64
