And when the angels said: O Marium! surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the world. 42 Mary; be obedient to thy Lord, prostrating and bowing before Him.' 43 (That is of the tidings of the Unseen, that We reveal to thee; for thou wast not with them, when they were casting quills which of them should have charge of Mary; thou wast not with them, when they were disputing.) 44 Lo! The angels said: "O Mary! Behold, God sends thee the glad tiding, through a word from Him, [of a son] who shall become known as the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, of great honour in this world and in the life to come, and [shall be] of those who are drawn near unto God. 45 He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous." 46 She said: "How can I have a son, O Lord, when no man has touched me?" He said: "That is how God creates what He wills. When He decrees a thing, He says 'Be', and it is. 47 And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel, 48 to be a Messenger to the Children of Israel saying, "I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I will create for you out of clay as the likeness of a bird; then I will breathe into it, and it will be a bird, by the leave of God. I will also heal the blind and the leper, and bring to life the dead, by the leave of God. I will inform you too of what things you eat, and what you treasure up in your houses. Surely in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. 49 Likewise confirming the Torah that has been before me and to make lawful to you some of the things you have been forbidden. I bring you a sign from your Lord, therefore, fear Allah and obey me. 50 God is my Lord as well as yours. Worship Him for this is the right path." 51 ۞ So when Eisa sensed their disbelief he said, “Who will be my aides towards (in the cause of) Allah?” The disciples said, “We are the aides of Allah’s religion; we believe in Allah, and you bear witness that we are Muslims.” 52 "Our Lord! we believe in what Thou hast revealed, and we follow the Messenger; then write us down among those who bear witness." 53 And they devised, and God devised, and God is the best of devisers. 54
