The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
