The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 covered down upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
