Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
