۞ Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety! 21 The day when they will see the angels – that day will not be of any happiness for the guilty – and they will cry, “O God, erect a barrier between us and them!” 22 We shall turn to their deeds and scatter them like particles of dust. 23 The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place. 24 Upon the day that heaven is split asunder with the clouds and the angels are sent down in majesty, 25 true sovereignty on that Day will belong to the Gracious One, and it will be a hard Day for those who deny the truth. 26 And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way. 27 Woe to us! Would that we had not been friends with so and so. 28 He led me astray from the Warning after it had come to me. Satan always betrays man. 29 And the Messenger will say, "O my Lord, my people had made this Qur'an the object of their ridicule." 30 thus did We assign to every prophet an enemy from among the sinners; your Lord is sufficient as a guide and a helper. 31 Those who deny the truth say, "Why was the Quran not sent down to him in a single revelation?" We sent it in this manner, so that We might strengthen your heart. We gave it to you in gradual revelation. 32 And they shall not bring to you any argument, but We have brought to you (one) with truth and best in significance. 33 Those who will be dragged on their faces towards hell – theirs is the worst destination and they are the most astray. 34
