Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
