We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
