And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed]? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
