The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 created man out of a germ-cell 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 or orders piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
