Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 Lo! presently ye shall know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
