Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the guilty ones: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
